Shades of the spiritual life

There are many rooms in the life with God.  Most of His dearest followers love to get nurtured by the Word first thing in the morning.  For some, that is what, in fact, draws them out of bed.  One such person mentioned that although she prays all day as she goes to and fro, she wants to be more intentional about prayer -- with sit-down prayers!

If this describes you, it might comfort you to know that there is a Hebrew idea that studying His Word, relishing His Word, is, in fact, a kind of prayer, already!  There come moments for the deep student of the Bible when it supernaturally takes you in behind the words, the words lift off the page, so to speak, and you go right to the reality behind them, almost as if you don't see the words at all, the transport is so fast.  Much like when reading music, eventually those notes lift off the page into the real deal; the notes soar in the fingers.  The notes were  the vehicle to get you there. The Word of God is then seen in your soul yet more and more as the thin/sheer veil over the glorious, infinite reality of other-worldliness.  "At His right hand are pleasures forever more" (Psalm 16:11).
