Ideas for self-investment if you are temporarily in isolation somewhere on this troubled planet

With the coronavirus shutting down so many aspects of our regular routines throughout the world, many people will be home most of the time for the unforeseeable future.  We are on pause--and that can have its positive aspects. Watch our YouTube video for practical ideas for jump-starting some schooling at home.

Wondering how to make the most of it?  Television, movies and the Internet can only take us so far.  What an opportunity to make fast progress in some basics!  Several that come to mind are learning how to touch-type fast, teaching yourself (and/or your children) how to play the piano, and teaching a child how to read.

You don’t even to need to leave your home to get the solution to these three skills: Zoom-Type, Quick Piano and Fast Phonics are available online, for delivery to your mailbox--worldwide.

Also, read eBooks; you don't have to be a homeschooler to find scores of interesting titles at homeschoolhowtos.com and 18 of them are totally free.  Topics include how to build yourself a greenhouse, play the guitar, learn how the days of the week are (or were) written in 160 languages, decorate your home for putting it on the market, teach your children at home (start with two weeks--you may decide you want to stay with it!), learn about the life of Johann Sebastian Bach and read aloud a play about him.  Download them for free or at a really low price (Kindles included).

If you have any questions, contact us.  We're just an email away--and we ship internationally, generally within a day, with the least expensive shipping costs.
